Lemon tree scale insects.
Hi! My lemon tree has scale insects. οΏΌ I have been spraying it with insecticidal soap and there hasn't been any progress yet. I would just need a little more information on what to do. Thanks! #LemonTree

Hi @xlsxn thatβs for sure scale.. down on the stem in the first picture. The white from the picture did at first look like mealies but could also just be the white scales. They do wipe off rather easy but you will need to be on top of it. The larvae is microscopic and can be anywhere on the plant.
Keep wiping off any scale you see. And keep up the good work!
I have had scale in the past only one plant. Technically still do, I never made it a priority to remove the scale.. I used bonide granules and it didnβt do anything. (Not recommended for food plants) I sprayed with a mix of alcohol water and dish soap. But didnβt keep up with it. The scale just kind of lives there now. I have it isolated and someone once told me scale is common to the more tropical type plants So I wasnβt too worried.
But for scale you just need to make sure you scrape or rub them off. You can use alcohol and a q-tip. Keep repeating for any one you may see. Spray with diluted alcohol maybe once or twice a week. The insecticidal soap works for the larvae you can continue with that. You can also use neem oil.
Good luck!!
