I think you should return it and get a refund.

What concerns me is not so much that one leaf. Because if it was shipped and sat against the box it could have damage from that and being shipped in very hot temperatures.

But the spots on the leaves are pest damage spots. So even if it was treated before it left there will likely be pests soon. Because that looks like recent pest damage. Older damage from pests turns brown but the new spots start out like that.

I only know because I have split leaf philos and one had spider mites the damage was spots just like that. That was a while ago and now the spots are brown. But I can see the spots and a lot of them when I zoom in.

If you want to keep it isolate it and start giving it treatments for pest every 3 days for 3 weeks.

But, I do recommend a refund.
Oh I donโ€™t like those leaves one bit โ€ฆ.
@Hoyaobsessed I completely agree.
@HappyLily I have no clue whatโ€™s going on but maybe @TheConservator can help with this issueโ€ฆ
Mine got like that once when I over watered it and fertilized it with miracle grow. Had to chop off the dead leaves and repotted it.
What have you done since you got it? Repot, fertilizer, light conditions?
It does look like a really bad fertlizer burn possibly. But give us a little info.
What are the stems looking like? Any black on those ?
Could it be that you have it in a place where it gets direct sunlight? The leaf looks burnt, it's not a pest! They are shade-loving, as far as I understand. I have a lovely shade-loving one, let me show you!
I haven't fertilized it or repotted. @AlertCapealoe41 the first day I got it I put it in direct sunlight while I researched the right light conditions. The stems are healthy and green. None of the other leaves have black but some of the other leaves have yellow spots like the second photo.
Well id bet it just got a bad burn if it was in direct sun. Especially without acclimation to it.
Thank you guys!
Looks like it got sunburned, ๐Ÿ˜ขperhaps while maybe relocating the plantโ€ฆ maybe cut part of the burnt off to prevent it from spreading. Or cut that leaf completely off. It will regrow again. You want most of the energy going to healthy leaves.
I agree with @SuperbRaspfern , the first leaf looks like heat damage but the second looks like it could be spider mite damage ๐Ÿ˜
This is so helpful! I'll start treating him right away! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜Š
What should I do with the sun burnt leaf?
@HappyLily the burnt leaf still has some green, so although it's not particularly attractive, it can still photosynthesize and provide energy for the plant. It's up to you if you want to leave it attached or remove it.
Ok thanks!
