Hey, Savannah!

Sometimes when elephant ears first come out of the bulb the leaves can have some minor deformation or damage. This isn’t anything to be concerned about, but if the next few leaves look like this one, then there’s a problem. Elephant ears will develop crispy edges if they don’t have enough moisture, mainly in the soil. They really aren’t picky with humidity (anything above desert conditions is fine), but too dry soil will cause your plant to develop crispy leaves.
Just make sure your plant is only allowed to dry out by an inch or two and your plant will be fine.
Hope this helps! Happy growing 🌴🌺!

(PS. Your nails look amazing!)
Hi Savannah, welcome!

When it unfurled was the leaf "perfect?"

To me it looks like some of that is damage from getting stuck while unfurling. There may be something else to it, but the majority of what I'm seeing in the photo looks like that.
@PlantMompy hi Ashley! Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question! So when it unfurled the leaf wasn’t perfect, But what I did notice was the stem opening up and there’s another leaf coming out, I’m hoping it comes out perfect!πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή
@UrLocalPlantGuy Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I water my plant almost every day! There is another leaf coming out so I’m hoping it comes out perfectly fine!! Also thank you for complimenting my nails!! I’m ready for a new set!πŸ˜‚
I definitely think it was damage from unfurling like I said before. It is not uncommon for a first leaf. If the second one also has an issue you may want to consider increasing the humidity around your plant as that is the second most common reason for unfurling troubles.
