They are all beautiful but omg @Boymom-plantmom that Monkeyβs Tail in bloom is gorgeous!
#WhatTheSuccWednesday #CactusClique #SucculentSquad #GregGang Happy Hump day Yβall I canβt believe itβs already Wednesday again time flies. Just another picture of the Drostenia Foetida ! Iβve only had this plant since April this year and itβs been consistently putting out flowers. Not colorful at all, but cute nonetheless! And it came with a little freeloader, a so called βblind passengerβ It cracks me up, because I seem to be unable to propagate succulents or anything else for that matter. But this accidental propagation seems to be working. Itβs too early to tell what it is. And Iβm hoping itβs not just a weed! The last picture is of the Greenovia Wine cup, as you can see Itβs been here since last year September, and I have yet to water it! I read that it was dormant when I got it and not to water it, nor to remove the brown bottom leaves. So thatβs were I stand with this plant, but I also havenβt researched any further. If someone has any info about this dude, Iβd be very appreciative! So that does it for now. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week, Ciao!
@LikelyDaboecia Wow, I get tongue tied just by saying the name! Beautiful plant and very unique!!
@LikelyDaboecia ahh where did you find these beauties? I want some so bad!!
@Popcornjoness Beautiful succulents, I even love the name titles!!
@ElissaPlants Beautiful!
@Ms.persnickety
I helped a friend who needed help with her greenhouses and farmers market in the 1990's. She always said "a weed is just an unwanted plant". We likely work hard on our indoor plants, whereas someone somewhere is pulling them out by the bushels.π

@Popcornjoness Iβm not sure where youβre from but I just got mine from a Dobbies! They were selling them as a βlimited editionβ plant and I was lucky enough that my bulb had two plants growing from them. Apparently theyβre pretty rare so maybe just have a look online?
@LikelyDaboecia your frizzles are so gorgeous!! I was just debating on tossing mine because itβs really sad looking. But youβve inspired me to repot it and see what she does.
@LikelyDaboecia I'm in love with your frizzles....I did not have the right environment for mine and it succumbed to rot pretty quickly - something wasn't right, but I'm not 100% sure what. I know the lighting was probably too low. Someday maybe I'll try again. Yours are awesome!
@PricklyThumb Theyβre fab even I have to admit! If theyβre not curling well then iβd suggested watering it less- or your plant may be going into dormancy!
Love the big blooms in my domino. They should open tomorrow. Sad they only last a day. Kiwi is showing her bright colors. Pinecone is finally doing something after a year. And I had to copy @Boymom-plantmom and get myself a lifesaver cacti. It just arrived yesterday π
@UltraKoreanfir I mean I stay in a pretty cold country, the only thing I do is try not to open the window too much and sun, sun, sun! I think these guys are definitely worth a second go if youβve got the will!
@LikelyDaboecia itβs really struggling. Brown and yucky. It lives outside and Iβve been moving around with different sun amounts and just canβt find its sweet spot. Itβs ugly.
@Ms.Persnickety I "think" your freeloader may be a bear paw kalanchoe. At least it has the right shape.
I don't know anything about the Greenovia...maybe contact the seller though. I would not think any plant would lie dormant for a year, and the leaves are looking wrinkly. I'd be wondering about when & how much to water too, to bring it OUT of dormancy. Very curious.

@CordialWildyam Titanopsis ...so funky....so ALIEN π½. ππππ
@PricklyThumb Iβve got mine on an East facing window so it gets like 3-6 hours a day of light, I think the curling problem is definitely an overwatering and the browning comes from too much sun if itβs not going into dormancy or youβre not seeing new growth like mine. How long have you had it?
@PricklyThumb Pinecone....so cute! π₯°. It's on my short list
@LikelyDaboecia itβs had zero new growth. I got it this spring. Itβs currently getting morning sun (east) from sunrise to about noon. Itβs been getting rained on a lot this summer. And my cacti rule is if you canβt survive outside without me fussing over you, you are not welcome here π
@PricklyThumb Hahah then honestly Iβm not sure- I think itβs the watering thing, itβs pretty picky and needs to be watered when the soil is fully dry, no more no less. Clearly mine is a bit of a tank though- one of the biggest iβve seen in terms of stem size π
Thank you for the feature @RJG!!! You da best. π
Khaleesi *is* basically a bonsai! π

@LikelyDaboecia well I pulled frizzle from the pot and its roots look good. π€·ββοΈ I gave it fresh soil and some worm castings. So now it either grows or goes with God π
@PricklyThumb Hahah good luck! Feel free to drop a message my way if youβve got any questions
@LikelyDaboecia this is so cool. Now Iβm furiously googling where I can get one to add to my collection!
Got a little stand for some of my succs and others. Time to reclaim my kitchen table. #whatthesuccwednesday #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict
@LikelyDaboecia I want one of these!! If I ever see one it will go home with me!!
My #whatthesuccwednesday
This guy is doing a funky twist all of a sudden. Usually they're sort of fanned out, like left to right ..but he's gone haywire.
The cacti - on the right, the red spines are super pretty in the sunlight. On the left the fuzzy one has a bunch of new growth starting....I think it looks like a Gremlin that fell in the water! Mr. Bunny Ears is droopy today ...probably angry about all of the rain. Or is it indicating thirst?? π€
My faves of the week are the Euphorbia though ...they have really grown a lot out in the natural light & rain.
Lastly, I posted about this little paddle plant a few weeks ago ...left outside through the winter since it had died....it resurrected. It has doubled in size since my last post on it, and the "large" stem/nub has melted away in the rain, I guess???

@LikelyDaboecia thatβs a lovely Frizzle Sizzle! Making me want to one!
@FamedSoybean Warning! Theyβre highly addictive!!
Brand new #Cacti mom! I know I'm kinda late for #whatthesuccwednesday but got this guy last week and had to represent him! ππ΅
@Boymom-plantmom wow Jennifer, I didnβt know they were readily available over there but they are very distinctive and of course often seen here in eg our botanical garden called Kings Park here in Perth (nearly 1000 acres in the middle of Perth !)
Calypsoβs triplets are all shooting up! (I think theyβve been light reaching so sheβs currently being adjusted to a grow light). One triplet decided it didnβt want to match anymore and stretched out the opposite leaf LOL love this little mystery plant from lowes clearance π± (may vs today!) (current guess is an ox tongue) #Gasteria
@Ms.Persnickety not sure if u got your mystery solved already, but if the leaves stay relatively thin and you start to see tiny little things growing in the nicks on the leaves, your free loader may be a mother of thousands! (A type of kalanchoe) which is the most PROPAGATION of plants u can get imo, this is one of mine when still healthy and what they looked like as babies
@LikelyDaboecia Absolutely LOVEEE ππ Iβve never seen one before! Where did you get this if you donβt mind me asking? π€π
@GmaMadeMeDoIt I love it so much too! I got mine from a Dobbies as a limited time deal so I donβt know how helpful that is for you unless you stay in the UK
@wolfqueen Very nice, your plants must love all that natural light from those big windows π₯°π
@LeafSprite Thanks for the info. Iβll wait a little longer before I can definitely say what it is. But you might be right about it being a βmother of thousands β.
@JuliaGulia this looks like Echeveria Purpusorum
@vvvelo thankyou so much!
