Vacation watering?
Wondering what you all do when you leave your plants during the spring/summer. I have a couple of the water globe things but haven’t used them before. Do they work? Any advice from folks who travel about what to do with plants when you go away for a week or more? This won’t be my last out of town trip this summer so trying to plan ahead #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Watering #wateringtips #PlantAddict #summerweather
@EagerPhlox I will be leaving on vacation in about a week. My plan is: I have changed my goal type to "ease", so I have my plants all getting watered in less amount of days, and I will check the soil the day I leave that away I can water anything I feel might need some extra moisture. I am then going to move most with exception of cactus and succulents into my sunroof. Move all my plant shelves away from the windows and add a humifier!! I will put humidifier on lowesr setting so that it will run longer. Then hope for the best!!🤞🤞
@OKIEgrnthmb i hadn’t thought about changing my goal type. Sounds like you have your whole plan down 😊 thanks for the tips!
@JThen thanks! I thought about hiring a plant sitter but most of my plants are up on shelves so i use a step stool to water them. Unsure who would feel comfortable getting up high to care for them. I’ll probably use the globes on the ones that will definitely need water and just wait on the others that can stretch a bit 😬
@jcPlantProper those are great ideas, thanks! A week this time but longer later in the summer
@Pegster thanks, me too! I think I’m going to move anything that’s not a succulent or cactus out of the windows, give them some water before I leave and hope for the best 😬
