Yes, it'll hang like that. I believe it's used as ground cover in some places, but I have mine in a pot and it flips about.
You have it in direct light with is good, just make sure it has some shade in the heat of the day. Water it when the soil is dry and keep an eye on it- when they start growing, they grow fast! (: They have the prettiest little flowers, too!
