Help, He’s turning yellow 😫 #dumbcanehelp

Any advice? I haven’t moved him, but I did repot him last week because his original soil seemed waterlogged everytime I watered him. I repotted in well draining soil and let him dry out between watering. He did perk up after I repotted but now more leaves turning yellow & a couple have damage - is this pest related? 😫 (the half leaf is from our resident terrorist, Kakashi - also pictured) He is under a grow light and getting 6+ hours a day direct light… please help! #Dieffenbachia #help #NewPlantMom #Dumb4Dieffenbachia #PetsAndPlants

Dieffenbachias lose the leaves they no longer need; it's normal. You'll notice the lower leaves yellow and turn brown. You can just peel it off.

That type of dieffenbachia is a little less sturdy than the bigger varieties. But you'll get the hang of it's care in no time!

Just keep sweet Kakashi away- dieffenbachias are poisonous.

Did you look at the roots when you repotted him? Those leaves look like root problems to me. By the way your terrorist is beautiful. Just keep him away from this plant! It’s bad news for pets.
