Great!!! Those are amazing! @Artonina wow! This dragon blood sedum is definitely meriting his name! Mine is staying green @Shells_Garden this baby hawortia is so tiny! @FairyFly this flower is amazing!!! @BabeVila this echeveria is definitely not coming from earth ๐ตโ๐ซ great job everyone!

@ToMuchPlants thank you! Itโs fun and rewarding to see and I swear he even grew a little taller this past week.
@RJG Thank you for including me in this weeks showcase! Itโs a pleasure to mentioned with such a fine group. @FairyFly @BabeVila @Artonina @MW_Kaktushaus who all shared amazing plants. Iโm jealous and loving the colors. Well done everyone!
Just gotvthis leopard lilly for 1/2 price making it 12.50$! A flower coming up on my haworthia and my christmas aloe showing off some color๐ 1 of 2 plantings of strings like that in 4 th photo. And a family picture to bring up@the rear ! Great postings up there everyone ! Some really cool stuff found savex and bloomed๐
Im going to give away my string secret lol. Its really easy to do! Hydrophobic soil! Lol Ive had those for like 2.5-3 yrs snd never repotted em. Left em as they were in that 100% peat all@dried and shrunk from the pot . Then i just water from the bottom until the pot sinks sbout half way ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐๐๐
Way to go beautiful ๐คฉ Also @TheConservator beautiful set up I canโt get over that silver squill.
#WhatTheSuccWednesday #SucculentSquad #CactusClique #PlantMail #GregGang #NewGrowth #NewPlants Hello I am happy to share that Iโve received the first Plant mail of 2025. All cacti shipped bare roots, no pots, no soil. So I spent last Friday afternoon on a Marathon potting session. And here are the results: 1) all nicely wrapped, 2) Mammillaria elongata โCopper Kingโ,3) are the Fire sticks (pencil cactus) I am using the skewers to support the sticks. There were individual sticks all with small roots and they were a little wooblely. 4) is the Alluaudia procera or Madagascar Ocotillo. The 5) is the Agave Lophantha โSplendidaโ. The rest will have to be added in the comments! So thereโs more to look at!
#WhatTheSuccWednesday #SucculentSquad #CactusClique #NewPlants #PlantMail continued with 5 more Pics. 1) is the Notacactus Scopa Cactus, that I have not been able to add to my Oasis. 2) is the Isolacereus dumortieri, 3) is the last of the new arrivals itโs the Pilosocereus cephalocereus palmeri. The 4) is the Crown of thorns with the most adorable tiny flowers. And last but not least the Dorstenia Foetida or shield Flower and itโs blooming it is hard to see since the flowers are green as well just like the rest of the plant. Well this is all I have on this cold Wednesday afternoon. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week and try and stay warm. Canโt wait for Spring to get here!!
@TheConservator beautiful. I especially like the Cooperi, Iโve never seen one of those before. That is why I love this site! ๐๐คฉ

@JenniferNoel that hen and chicks๐๐๐
@TheConservator hahaha I agree. So pretty.๐
Oh no @JenniferNoel, that's the hen and chick death bloom!
@TheConservator haha , yes I know the feeling IS REAL!! Itโs called #PlantAddict !!! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy ๐
@FairyFly & @TheConservator - I know ๐ I love them, but I HATE them!! The flowers are soooo awesome, but they donโt last!
@JenniferNoel they are pretty !๐คฉ
Wow @JenniferNoel
@YammieOf3 im obsessed with yours! Omg ๐๐๐
@ToMuchPlants thanks! Itโs not dragon blood, itโs fuldaglut! Itโs red all the summer and winter. My dragon blood is green too ๐
@JenniferNoel wow, the whole colony decided to bloom at once! Iโve started growing semps 6 months ago, cannot wait until they mature
@Artonina - They are really fun to watch and EXTREMELY pretty, but once they bloom they are dead!! Thatโs the crappy part about them! But I think the flowers are worth it ๐ฅฐ
Iโve never tried, but you can prop the babies they send out! So itโs an ongoing plant which I think is pretty cool!!

@Ms.Persnickety excellent plantmail!
@Artonina ah, then it is normal but still so beautiful
@JenniferNoel so gorgeous!
@Artonina - Thank You ๐ฅฐ
@Jana85 what are the purple ones? I love purple!
@IconAtom47 there are some purple echeveriaโlots if varieties of echeveria are purple, so I bet you could find lots of those youโd like! Perle von Nurnberg is a popular variety that is very purple, but most of mine were unlabeled and I donโt know their names. Lots of succulents come in beautiful pastel colors that look just dreamy together!
@RJG Your Pearl Echeveria is stunning!! I would LOVE some tips on how to keep them thriving - my baby Scarlett has declined almost to the point of death twice now this past year. She is resilient, but I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong with her. Here's a photo of her now - she is currently sitting in my propogation tray callousing, as I recently had to chop her at the stem (for the second time this year) due to significant leaf loss and suspected root decline.
Last time I chopped her stem, she made a come back and grew back to her original size, only to almost immediately shrink and decline again. How do you care for your Echeveria (light, soil, watering, etc)? Any tips would be so helpful!

@Jana85 Omg... Your pot of echeveria!!! I am obsessed! Did you pot all of those or buy them that way? And how do you keep them thriving all together in the pot like that? They are beautiful!
My echeveria is declining for the second time this year, so I would really appreciate some tips if you have them ๐ค
Edited to say ALL of your succs are gorgeous and clearly thriving, so any tips in general would be wonderful ๐

@SucculentSavant thanks! The pot of echeveria โLolaโ are all leaf props. I have a Lola that got really tall and I decided to chop and prop it, and it had a lot of leaves on the stem that I propped. Leaf props take ages to grow, so these have been in here since the spring. Echeveria LOVE light, so the most important thing about growing them is light. Theyโll get stretchy and weak very quickly without extremely strong light. All of my succs go outside in the summer but in the winter, I keep them indoors under Barrina T8 lights, on for about 14 hours a day. Thatโs really the key. And Iโm a fan of terra cotta pots, since they prevent root rot. I bottom water the succs when I notice the leaves are getting softer/more flexible, but not beforeโa hard leaf is already full of water. Idk if any of that is helpful but those are the rules my succs live by! ๐
@JenniferNoel actually, I propped many semp babies, thatโs easy! I think I have around 100 baby semps which grew the roots in my back porch. Iโm waiting for them to get bigger before I plant them outdoors.
@Jana85 Amazing that you got a full pot of props to grow so beautifully! I haven't gotten my pearl echeveria to thrive nearly enough to afford propping, but hopefully I can get the care down. It may be my favorite succulent out of my bunch, but it's struggled the most ๐ฅฒ
I'm guessing my issue has been the light. I keep all my succs right next to a South facing window and under a grow light at max strength ~12 hours a day, which has seemingly been great for the majority of my succs, but maybe not enough for my echeveria. I'll have to look into the Barrina T8 lights and maybe let my echeveria have one to itself.
Thank you for the tips!! We'll see if the light makes a difference ๐ฑ๐๐ฝ
