Why is my philodendron birkin leaves going yellow? Some of the top ones have brown bits on the edge. I water it once a week and put it right next to north facing French door.

You have a couple of yellow leaves and they are lower leaves. That could indicate overwatering. If the soil stays moist for too long, the leaves can yellow.
Older leaves will always have a “death day” not last forever just like us if your soil isn’t wet over watered I wouldn’t be concerned about losing the older first growth leaves.
