Do you plant deeper, or use a stake?

Hii, Just curious,

As your alocasia looses it's outside leaves as it grows do you plant the newly exposed stem deeper into the soil or do you use a stake?

Ive currently been keeping mine upright with a stake but it's still super wobbly.

Hello! What a cute Alocasia! Personally, Iโ€™ve never really had to add soil before as mine grow, however, one of mine is doing this which kinda notifies me the pot may be getting a bit shallow for the plant! / plant is getting too big.. Iโ€™m not going to repot it quite yet, but Iโ€™m going to keep a close eye on it!

When was the last time it was repotted?
I've been wondering the same thing. Mine isn't wobbling yet, but there is a good chunk of stem that used to have the spent leaves.
@elisenavidad it would have been about a year ago so it is probably time for a repot to be fair
@PlantPeach ahhh yes! Iโ€™d start with that. Alocasias like to be a little root bound but it sounds like yours just straight up outgrew its pot! Congratulations, what a happy Alocasia ๐Ÿคฉ
