Yes, dead flowers can be removed so she can focus energy on new leaves and not flowering. Flowering does usually mean she is happy!

Hi Sherry! Yes you can deadhead them. You can either take the dead flowers off, or you can take the stalk- not the entire stalk, just at the bottom of the flowers. In doing that, you will get more stalks and more flowers that would last longer.
