Have you seen this plant? Omg she is beautiful. Post if y...
@COPlantMom More for others than yourself, StaceyC, but a word of caution, be careful that some plants like a “pink congo” can be artificially created and therefore overpriced for being rare.

Don't do it!! Patience is key with plants. Learn from someone that has soent way too much money on what used to be "rare" plants that you can now find at Walmart. I rarely buy whole plants anymore. I prefer to get cuttings or a 2". I'd rather prop it and establish health roots for a healthy plant than overpay for what usually ends up being a recent prop stuck in too big of a pot.
BUT... ALWAYS window shop plants so that when the prices are reasonable you can snag them up! 🤣

Oh damn that philo looks like someone crossed a pink princess with a milk confetti syngonium.
Personally, i would first check the reviews. To see whether the vendor is legit. Plant scams are still a thing.
Secondly, i would find importers, specialty shops, nurseries, anything to see if they have it in stock or if they can get it in and ship it to you. Better go to a reputable vendor than risk being scammed by an online seller that you don't know.
If you know the seller, heck get a coffee together or smt, then you can call to check if it's availa. Ask for a photo of the plant, or even better, FaceTime them to ensure they have it.
Of course the third is only if you and the seller are like, friends and all, but most of the time they won't want to to FaceTime you [duh].
Lastly, do some research on the plant, to check if it's a legitimate variety, like what @Seymour said.
In the end, whether you buy it or not is your own decision. But whether you get scammed is a while other things. But really, what's life without risks?

@Araceae @Seymour @AwesomeAcajou, thank you all for your awesome advice. Yes, you're right. There are a lot of scammers out there. The "pink monstera" scam 😆.
@COPlantMom unfortunately this hobby is so easy to take advantage of. Like a Philodendron Florida Beauty Variegated. Here you could either spend $600 on a plant that may not even be variegated, or you could easily dig a little deeper and find one that's ACTUAL VARIEGATED for $22, with free shipping too. It's so stupid honestly.
@COPlantMom I love the Philodendron Rojo Congo (real on the left) but cants blame people for wanting a “pink Congo” (artificial on the right ) ! The pink Monstera…the blue rose…the old saying if it looks too good to be true
@Seymour 👀 Why must you tempt me?!? Lol, jk. Seriously though, I took one look at that philo rojo congo, my eyes got so big and I said (out loud) "WHAT IS THAT??!!" 😂
@stephonicle Hey Stephanie, I’m just glad you picked the natural plant (rojo) 😂 “you chose wisely”
