Too light to survive?

The two newest leaves on my #PhilodendronBrasil Cream Splash have hardly any green at all. If they don’t green up more as they settle should I trim them back?

I know I’ve heard that advice when albos put out all white leaves. These are so pretty, but I want the plant to keep thriving ☀️💚

First of all, they’re absolutely GORGEOUS leaves. I would wait and see what happens. I have a Hoya Krimson Queen that just put out 3 white leaves. I read that they’ll do just fine with them. So I can’t imagine your plant would be much worse off given that neon pothos and philos are that color-ish?
@EZLennyLance look at this beauty. I bet you’d do great with one!
@TheOddAsity Thank you so much! That’s what we m hoping too. That’s good to know about Hoyas too. I have variegated compacta with some white leaves that I’d hate to lose.
@debbiedo that really is such a beautiful plant. I didn’t know one like that existed. I had a philodendron brasil at my house that just didn’t like it here and is living its best life at my sister’s house. 😂 So I tagged her to see this one!
@TheOddAsity Lucky sister! 💚 These grew from some single leaf cuttings. I haven’t seen the Cream Splash anywhere else, but I really love the colors. Brasils have such fun coloring in general though don’t they? 🤩
Take a photo and chop them off 😂 - But in all seriousness, there looks to be plenty of green leaves and stems to provide the necessary chlorophyll for photosynthesis
@debbiedo they do! I have seen the silver stripe brasil philo. For some reason I struggle with philos. Buuuuut, I just got a free Rio Brasil Philo cutting with a purchase and I love it so much! Of course so don’t wanna say that out loud because it may just keel over and die. That seems to happen with the ones I admit I like 😂
@TheOddAsity Just be cool, give it the cold shoulder 😂
Mine had a couple leaves like that when I got it from the store and it shot out normally leaves after that so I think it should be fine!
@PiousGermanivy Great to know, thank you so much!!
