Aphids?

Hi everyone! My dieffenbachia has been affected by pests for a while. I think it’s aphids, but I don’t have much experience with pests so I’ll attach two photos. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve been isolating and treating this plant for a while to no avail. I sprayed it down and wiped the leaves, I repotted it and washed the plant (including roots), applied neem oil, cut off new growth (as they were hiding in unfurled leaves) and put sage leaves on the soil (it’s supposed to repel pests), but I still found a few aphids today. I squashed them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I see more πŸ™ƒ
I don’t even know where they came from. One day it had 0 pests and then I poked the soil with a skewer and it suddenly had aphids.
If anybody could share any tips & tricks on how to get rid of them I’d be very grateful! Thanks! #aphids pestsAndPlants">#pestsAndPlants #PlantTherapy #PlantCorner #Dieffenbachia #DumbCane #dumbcanehelp #DieffenbachiaBatch #DieffenbachiaDen #helpaplant #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Not aphids. Not clear enough to id beyond that but not aphids. If it were aphids I would have told you to plant some garlic chives as a beneficial companion plant. Those aphids would disappear very quickly.
I always prefer natural remedies vs the alternative. πŸ’«βœ¨οΈπŸ’₯πŸ™ƒβ€οΈβ€πŸ”₯
Hopefully not mealy bugs - they are brutal to get rid of. Hard to tell by pics. Good luck πŸ€ πŸ™πŸ»
@SuperblyLilac Thanks, but I already did that πŸͺ΄
@user785b1e99 Thanks, I might try the chives just in case
@BalancedBonsai Thankfully they’re not mealy bugs. Thanks
Ladybugs can eat over 200 aphids per day! Bring some in from outside.πŸ’«βœ¨οΈπŸ’₯πŸŒΏπŸƒβ€οΈβ€πŸ”₯πŸ™ƒseriously πŸ₯Έ

@BabyLeaf I am stumped here. Maybe @RJG @Gordo @HoyaAddict @AnthuriumQueen can help.
I think it’s an aphid or a vine weevil. In either case, they’re a nuisance and can cause major damage. Treatment is best. If the soil is infested, it’s time to toss all of that soil and pick the leaf off the plant to get rid of the problem faster. @BabyLeaf
