Bird of Paradise

Would anyone know why some of the leaves are curling in And is it normal to have some of the leaves/stems drooping down? (I’m hoping it’s just because they’re heavy). She’s in a good pot with drainage, gets lots of sunlight and the soil is well draining.

It looks like she's getting too much light and trying to draw away from it.

Is she in a south facing window?

When I zoom in it looks like her branches next to the widow are the ones drooping. Like she's saying, I'm hot and it's too much.

The downward curl of the leaves can also be a sign that she's getting too much light. She's trying to protect herself.

A sheer curtain is a lifesaver for south facing windows. It diffuses the light just enough to make plants happy in them. If you don't do the sheer curtain than move her at least 6 feet from the window.

They like indirect light.
@SuperbRaspfern that’s great information, especially for myself, I just purchased a BOP! πŸ˜‰
@SweetAzurebluet I'm glad it was helpful 🩷 @SweetAzurebluet
@SuperbRaspfern thank you!! I do have a sheer curtain! If I try that for like a week straight, will she uncurl so I know it’s helping?
Yes you should start to notice changes fairly quickly within a week, she might not totally uncurl in a week but you should notice less curl.

Since stress leads to shock she will need a bit of time to recover. It may take a few weeks to see the full results.
@SuperbRaspfern thank you so much! She has been moved and the curtain will remain closed!
@robbi_rose Great! 🩷
