Alocasia question!

I’m new to this type of plant and have heard that in winter they can go dormant and lose leaves? Does this happen is grown indoors? How would I know if it’s dead or dormant once winter starts?
5ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
The internet told me that it goes dormant in winter even indoors
In my opinion, and this is my opinion only with my experience I have one I keep it under Grow light fertilize it every 30 days and it’s growing beautifully. Don’t worry about winter as long as you keep your house with some humidity.
