Hi @ShinyRedhill how often are you watering? These donβt need frequent watering, they usually store water for a while.
While the oldest leaves at the base of the plant do eventually lose color and die off, the rest of the plant looks like it could be suffering from overwatering. These plants like their soil to dry out completely between waterings. They don't like sitting in soggy soil, which can lead to root rot. If the photo is current, it appears to be in the same nursery pot it was in when you bought it. Commercial nurseries are notorious for using peat-heavy soil, and combined with the plastic pot (which holds onto moisture longer) they're usually well on their way to overwatering issues before you even get them home.
My advice would be to repot it in a terracotta pot no more than 2-3 inches bigger than its current pot (terracotta is porous and allows the soil to dry out faster). Use a very well-draining soilβthe kind specifically made for succulents/cacti is perfect for dragon trees. While repotting, double check the roots for any signs of rot (darker color, mushy, foul odor). Cut away any affected roots before moving to its new pot. Then find a spot that gets lots of bright, indirect light (direct sun can burn the leaves) and only water when the soil has dried out completely. If you're using the app for water reminders, think of them more like suggestions at first. As time goes on and the more you use the app, the more accurate the reminders will be. If it reminds you to water but the soil is still moist, hit the snooze button and it will remind you again in a few days. Good luck and welcome to Greg! πͺ΄π
