I have several Golden Barrels. They live in the Palm Spri...

@HeirPlainsyucca Yellow base or ribs usually mean that it has been over watered. If it isn't too bad you can just let it dry out in the pot and make sure you don't water it until the soil is completely dry, even if the app tells you to water it. If it isn't dry snooze it in the app by swiping left. You can also take it out of its pot and replace the soil with some succulent or cactus soil mixed with perlite. Perlite is very porous and pulls water from the soil allowing the roots to breathe. Ok temperature range...I looked online to make sure of temperature tolerance and it said that Golden Barrel cactus thrive in temps between 70Β°f- 100Β°f in your case I would, just to be safe, put it outside in the shade. It's usually a little cooler there but still allows it to be in bright indirect light. As the soil dries out you should see the yellow start to turn back to green. Good luck with it! β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
I would 1.) Try to dry out the plant to see if it is infact being overwatered !
If color comes back, then you know it was being overwatered
2.) If drying them out doesn’t work, try adding more water. Since it has been sooo hot in Palm Springs they may actually not be getting enough water !
3.) I would also highly recommend a schedule /research of fertilizer for your Golden Barrels ! Your Goldies could just be hungry ! 😊
