Why does she hate me? Her leaves are drying out. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

2” pot with drainage

I have an English Ivy that is very slow growing.
How often do you water? And perhaps a little more light?
Once a week? Lit gets indirect sung light from the east side
These are actually much brattier than you would think lmao mine needs a good water every few days! Whenever the leaves get even slightly crispy give it a soak. If it’s in a 2” pot then I would honestly check it like every day. They like a lot of light so they’re going to be using that water pretty quickly!
Ivy hates me, too.
@wildpurplechild spot on! Such a brat that it rather die if unhappy lol
@sarahsalith I’m starting to hate them too 😠 lol. This is like my third one. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
@Iloveplants I quit after my second one. My mother has one that is growing with a Pothos and they both look AMAZING. It's also 20' from a window so it's just insane.
@sarahsalith omg that’s awesome! Show me a pic of u have one. They are beautiful but sadly idk we have no connection lol
@Iloveplants I'll see if I can get my mom to send me a picture when she gets home- her plant is amazing. I tried to replicate it with the ivy and Pothos- only one strand of ivy survived. πŸ˜–
I've found mine likes my humidifier. Maybe she needs more humidity?
I think ours are sisters because mine seems to hate me, too 🀭. She showed signs of underwatering so i watered her more, before realizing that she was actually overwatered. I still can't tell the clear differences between the symptoms and I think I just got lucky she stopped dropping leaves after I cut off the water
I agree with everyone! Ivy and I have a love hate relationship!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ
How does the soil feel? My first thought is that it looks dry. But it also looks like it might be pretty far from the window. Mine is right next to the window and it is doing great. It’s my first ivy though, so I’m not a huge expert, but it is thriving next to a west facing window.

Maybe more light? And I’m curious to hear if the soil is dry.
@calvina sorry took long to respond. It’s so tiny, I try to water it often. It was dry!
@sarahsalith thank you for showing me, that is so pretty. If only it gives me a chance to let me love it! Lol
