Mother’s Day gift declining.
Leaves are going flat with yellowing on edges. I follow the watering guide. Any help - please !

Hi Gayle! Florist Kalanchoe are succulents, so their soil needs to completely dry out between waterings. Yellowing on the edges could be a combo of overwatering (or more specifically, the soil staying damp too long) and insufficient light. If you're using the app's watering reminders, think of them as suggestions more than anything. There are countless variables unique to your plant the app can't possibly take into account, which is why it's so important to always check the soil first before you water. If the app reminds you to water but the soil still feels damp, click the "snooze" button and it will remind you again in a few days. The more you use the app, the more accurate the watering recommendations will become 😉
