@BlueRose76 Hi Rosetta- it all depends on your weather. Most tropical plants can survive temps above 55-60 degrees and a lot even above 40 degrees. Personally, I don’t keep mine out side below 50 here in Georgia. So it all depends on what kind of plants you have and the weather. As long as they are not out in a frost some even make it! So it’s your situation that should determine the answer really. I’m not sure if this was any help, but they do love the filtered light of being outside under a porch so I leave mine out as long as I could before I got the greenhouse. Good Luck!πŸͺ΄
If it's forecasted to freeze, yes, bring it in. I'm in Cochise County so you're generally 15-20° warmer than me 😬 and the lil cactus will be fine as long as the roots don't freeze. The impermeable ground out here protects the native plants' roots most of the time but a deep freeze will kill the smaller ones that haven't rooted deeply enough yet. In a pot, they're way more likely to freeze (and can even do so before the air temp hits 32). Overall though, they're petty hardy as long as you don't water through the winter.
