Is she too dry?

#Philodendron #PinkPrincessPhilodendron I got my plant just 2 weeks ago and she looked all perky and happy. Now her leaves are limp and droopy. Normally it’s a sign of overwatering, I think? I have been following Greg’s suggestion to water her every 9 days but I wonder if it enough? She is so dry that I can lift her from the pot. Also, even though PPP likes smaller pots, I keep wondering if the teeny-tiny pot is enough?

Hello! What a cute plant! I’d say it’s definately in need of a good watering and probably a bit of a pot upsize. I’d check the roots for sure though, if they’re wrapping around the inside of the pot and / or coming out of the bottom it’s probably time for a bigger pot. However, if you prefer not to repot her, I’d just say give her a thorough watering until the water drains out the bottom of the pot.

Greg is a great resource for reminding you to water but it’s not 100% accurate and your plant(s) may need more frequent or less frequent watering then Greg says! Just be sure to update it in your app if you do water ahead of schedule.

I hope this helps!
@elisenavidad Thank you! I guess I just needed some reassurance πŸ˜€ I am bottom watering her right now. She does seem to have roots all around the bottom half of the pot so I guess I’ll repot her soon.
