My Cyclamen Persicum has yellowing leaves

I thought it was the heat, but it's still happening! I don't know why. Please help.

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ I should start by saying I don't have a cyclamen myself ๐Ÿ˜‚ but let's see if we can figure it out! ๐Ÿ’š

As you correctly say in your post, one thing I do know about cyclamen is there not fond of high temps! You want around 60-65ยฐF daytime top temp and around 50ยฐ at night and the leaves will certainly yellow if it's too hot for her.

Sometimes what we see, like yellowing leaves, can be a bit of a delayed reaction to some stress that happened a few days or a week ago... What is the temperature like where you are?

I'm sure you know about the dip test to decide if it's time to water or not by now? and cyclamen (like so many other plants!) like bright, indirect light so I'd be surprised if it's either of those two things, though it never hurts to constantly test the soil to see if it's staying too damp! (I'm slightly obsessive about root rot since I have SO MANY tropical plants! Lol ๐Ÿคฃ). We can talk you through what to do about root rot if you ever find it!

The other thing is... I'm sure they do go dormant, usually around April in the UK. They die back to a bulb and then start growing again in autumn. Obviously, for those in the southern hemisphere, that dormancy period will happen at a different time of year!

The yellowing looks pretty uniform, do I don't think it's a fertiliser problem... It could always be that she's casting her old leaves after a burst of sudden growth (like blooming or lots of new leaves!).

Hopefully someone who keeps cyclamen will be able to say for sure! ๐Ÿ’š Xx
@JenniB81 finally got to respond back to you. The blooms drooped a lot a day or two ago, so I cut them, as well as the yellow leaves. This is what she looks like now.

Also, I store most of my plants in one room, and I think I can barely go below 65ยฐ or 70ยฐF even with a gigantic fan in my room. It's not fear of it getting too cold for the other plants. It's just that I simply can't. My room has the highest ceiling and heat rises. I try to cool my room, but I can't open my window (it is a slide window that you slide to open, but it just doesn't open ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ).
Aww, it sucks doesn't it?! But you're doing her a favour in the long run! Now she can concentrate on getting healthy and next year she'll be able to support those blooms no worries!

I take no more yellowing since you gave her a haircut? That sounds very much like either she was objecting to a change of conditions or she put so much effort into the blooms she had to sacrifice a few leaves?

Let me know if it starts happening again! I'm sure she'll do great in your loving care ๐Ÿฅฐ xx

I think your temperature is probably fine hun! I think it's maybe been a
