Seasonal Depression?

1st winter together, so wondering if this is easily solved by adding a grow light or adjusting humidity. She was happy from purchase early last year, up til about the end of November. Then, new growth started coming in almost transparent, followed by tips shriveling up/getting crunchy.
Up to date pics in plant tag, due to no attachments enabled in mobile posts currently. Unsure what the humidity is in our home, but will update if I find out.

Hi Rose! Is your calathea in 100% leca? How long since you moved from soil to leca? It can take time for plants to adjust to leca, so that's one possibility. Also, those leca balls look pretty big...possibly too big for your calathea's fragile roots.

The humidity level tends to drop during winter because heaters dry out the air. If your plant's decline coincided with running the heat in your home, that's certainly a possible culprit for the shriveled/crunchy leaves. You can get a humidity meter for around $10 on Amazon β€” if the humidity in your home turns out to be under 50%, you might consider a humidifier.
Hi @Derogatory1 you’ve already got a great reply from @stephonicle on Leca and humidity. I’d add that being less than a foot from the window in Ohio in winter is probably too cold for her. Their range is 65-85 degrees. Perhaps get a little temperature/ humidity gauge to put next to her, then you’ll know for sure. 1-3 feet from your east window should be good light. Unless there’s an obstruction like tree or a building then perhaps a grow light would help.
