#Alula do I have a pest or disease problem? Other leaves look fine but this one shriveled, has a few tiny white dots and a some stickiness. #PlantAddict #PestControl

Hi Hanne! It looks like your Alocasia might have a mealybug infestation. Those tiny white dots are likely mealybugs, and the stickiness is their honeydew.
Here's what you can do:
* Isolate the plant: Move the infected plant away from your other plants to prevent the spread of mealybugs.
* Remove the pests: Use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to wipe away the mealybugs.
* Treat with insecticidal soap: Spray the entire plant with insecticidal soap, paying special attention to the undersides of the leaves. Repeat the treatment every 7-10 days for a few weeks.
* Monitor the plant: Keep an eye on your Alocasia for any new signs of infestation.
If the infestation is severe, you may need to use a stronger insecticide. However, always follow the instructions on the label carefully.
With consistent treatment, you should be able to get rid of the mealybugs and help your Alocasia recover.

Hi @GoedeSoep put some rubbing alcohol on a q tip and dip it on those white spots, those are likely mealy bugs. Youโll need to check the rest of the plant, especially the underside of the leaves.
@GoedeSoep definitely agree with Kelli, but I would snip that leaf off ASAP.
@GoedeSoep I agree with @USAGardenHub and her remedy is how to treat the problem. If you follow her advice the problem should go away. Iโd definitely cut that leaf off.
