I mixed DE earth with my soil bc Nats and other pests are in an abundance here and it helps all my plants and its not toxic to kids or animals. Also could be from water or soil sitting on the leaves. Helps to trim/cut the dead off. Gnats themselves aren't an issue as much as the larvae that crawls around in the soil is.
@sarahsalith thank you! - could gnats do this?? 🤔 - someone had recently gifted me potted daffodils (I didn't know that was a thing??), but it turned out to bring with it soooo many gnats!! So I just chucked it today!
It looks amazing regardless.
