@AngelicPrasium7 Hey Karly 💛 First of all sending you a huge hug. You’re doing an amazing thing just by showing up for this plant, especially with what it means to your family. Deep breath you’ve got this. So here’s the scoop: your Guzmania isn’t dying because you messed up she’s just doing what all Guzmanias do. These beauties bloom once, and then the center plant naturally begins to fade. It’s part of their life cycle, kind of like a graceful bow after a performance. What’s next? Look closely she’ll start growing little “pups” (baby plants) around her base soon. Those are her way of living on. 💚 To help her thrive while that happens, gently remove the dead center leaves when they crisp up, and if possible, move her to a pot with a drainage hole (because soggy roots = drama). Keep the light bright but indirect, and water into the center cup not the soil too much. You’re not losing her she’s simply passing the torch. And with your care? She’s in the best hands possible.
