2 Much Sun??
#Morning to all!
Just moved Light Me. Found a new leaf had acquired a splash of green like that of a Marble Queen,it was the only leaf like that and of course I accidentally broke it off.
I believe that Neon's were all the same color, with NO dark variegation, am I incorrect?

No, a Neon Pothos is not always the same color. While it's known for its bright chartreuse or golden yellow leaves, several factors can influence the vibrancy and depth of its color:
Light Exposure: The most impactful factor is light. Neon Pothos needs moderate to bright indirect light to maintain its signature electric lime color. In lower light conditions, the leaves can become duller and darker, sometimes even reverting to a deeper green. Conversely, too much direct sunlight can scorch or bleach the leaves, causing them to turn a paler yellow.
Leaf Maturity: Newer, younger leaves tend to be a brighter, more vibrant neon green or yellow compared to older, more mature leaves, which may deepen in color with age.
Variegation: Although Neon Pothos is known for its solid color, some individual plants or a variety called 'Variegated Neon Pothos' can display stable variegation, which means they might have patches or streaks of darker green alongside the neon color. This variegation might be more pronounced with adequate light.
Watering: Overwatering or underwatering can cause stress to the plant, potentially leading to yellowing or other discoloration of the leaves.
Nutrient Deficiencies or Excess: Just like with any plant, a lack or abundance of certain nutrients can affect leaf color and overall plant health.
Age: As a Pothos plant naturally ages, the lower leaves may turn yellow and drop off, which is a normal part of the plant's life cycle.
In conclusion, while the core characteristic of a Neon Pothos is its vibrant, light green/yellow hue, the shade can vary depending on the growing conditions, particularly light exposure and leaf maturity. Providing the right care and environment will help ensure the most vibrant color for your Neon Pothos
