Spider Mites?!!??
I bought this plant from an independent seller, it was perfectly fine when I bought it - except a few brown spots on the leaves (please refer to the plant profile).
A few weeks later, there are large patches of brown and black as well as cobwebs on the soil.
It is not producing any more leaves, and the overall health of the plant looks bad :(
Please may someone give me some advice?
Thank you

hi Jemima. Unfortunately this does look like spider mites and although they are annoying, they are not the end of the world. To get rid of the spider mites, I would recommend using a bug spray, for example I use that baby bio house plant bug spray, or to use a mixture of neem oil and dish soap. If you want the best results, I would also recommend you replace all the soil with fresh new soil and completely hose down the roots and the leaves (both sides of the leaves). Hope that helps :-)๏ฟผ
@louisahart Thank you so much :)
@VenerableFern no problem!
Hi Jemima, diatomaceous earth a natural product you can use if you want. Just sprinkle the powder All over the plant, make sure you get the nooks and crannies ๐ it will take a couple of days but it will work and then you can just stir it into the soil. Once the powder gets wet it is inert. Then you have to start over if they're back.. #happyplants
