Another #Magnolia question:

I found a lone seed pod on the ground (well I mean there were tons of others but this one looks different than the rest!)

It’s dried out and looks a bit like a pine cone. But it has a split in it and several red seeds(?) are showing (first pic).

Is this how I propagate them?

It looks like the red seed is what you're spose to plant. I haven't seen anything with them being green, possibly a different breed of Magnolia?
The green seed pod may be green because it is not ripe yet and the seeds are not ready.
