Why is my satin #pothos keeps growing her root upwards? 🀦...

I'm trying to save this satin pothos from roots rot, it used to be attached to other satin pothos that has long roots. Recently, she started to grow a root upward, for idk why. That's a new born root, it's not even from an old aerial root.

My problem is, this root is growing upwards and it keeps growing upwards! You can see how fast the root growth in 18 hours between 2 pictures. I can't keep filling up the water because one day I will accidentally soak other leaves as well.

Why is the root growing upwards instead of growing downwards?

Some roots just do that. Throughout the stems on pothos, it'll grow out randpm aerial roots that will just grow whatever direction they feel like growing, honestly. It's not a bad sign. It's a great sign to have it sprout more healthy roots. Wither it will eventually try to go downwards towards the moisture or it'll just do its on thing. If yoyre concerned about it drying up yoy can always mist it
@KrunchyWrap Maybe I'll just let it get some fresh air lol. Maybe one day it will grow downwards when it senses the direction of the water.
It may just turn itself back around when you put it in soil. Or are you growing it hydroponically and if that’s the case, as Gilda Radner used to say ,”Never Mind!❀️πŸ₯°πŸŒ±πŸ’•πŸ€ͺ
@SportyWhiskfern she was born from soil, and I moved her to water after constantly roots rot. Maybe I'll move her to semi hydroponic when her roots grow more.
