If you are patient, you can always cut the plant back to an inch or so and see if it recovers. Mint is a perennial so even if it looks dead, it may come back at another time with proper care as long as the roots are not badly damaged.

Don't follow Greg's watering suggestions for the first few weeks. Use your judgement and your finger. οΏΌοΏΌWhen the soil feels dry, water it and log it in the app. If the app tells you to water and the soil is wet, snooze the plant in the app and it will remind you to check again in three days.
