I love the variegated ones! Is the soil too damp or any root rot when you repotted? Disclaimer-Iβm not super knowledgeable at all lol. I think these ones like to be somewhat root bound too, so maybe a snug pot. If you donβt find any answers, Iβve had them do really well in water (with food) and theyβve always tended to do well almost anywhere in my house. I donβt think Iβve ever had mine in direct sun except for maybe morning sun. Hope sir plancelot bounces back! Good luck.
@FiggieCent thank you so much Iβll check out the roots again. Iβll try the water and food plan if thereβs no rot. Hoping heβll do good. I was sad so I just went and bought four more plants π
If it starts looking like nothing will work, I donβt know that Iβd ever do this again or maybe I waited too long butβ¦ my googled version of major root rot surgery was basically cutting off all the rot (which was a ton) the id rinse the roots in water, then spray it or let em sit in some peroxide for a sec then put em in fresh water. I had 2 sections of 1 spider plant and one was dead in 5 seconds, but the other one slowly came back and I wasnβt going to put it thru then moving back to soil. Little man survived. But I was either not good at this or maybe too much damage, but I found it risky. Wanted to mention too maybe donβt give sir p any fertilizer or food until heβs stronger sometimes when theyβve gone thru trauma to give them fertilizer will basically burn them.
@FiggieCent thank you π₯°
Last thing, sorry Iβm a super nerd w plants. Plus if thereβs any green left I wonβt get rid of anythingβ¦ I legit feel guilty. But the reason I had the root rot in mine was the no drainage in the pot (I didnβt know about mixing my own soil then either so added to the problem). But he could be sitting in too much at the bottom. when I thought the top was dry, I just kept watering too. I literally have to have drainage or itβd be a massacre around here. Ok, plant dork is done. Good luck!!
@FiggieCent youβre my favorite π this is literally me so Iβm totally okay with it, thank you so much
