Neither! Looks like an old leaf dying off. This is normal, all leaves have a lifecycle and no single leaf will last forever. If you notice multiple leaves start to brown, and/or new growth is not looking healthy, then may need to check out the plant’s roots and see if they are mushy/brown/rotted. If new growth just replaces old growth with the overall plant not getting any larger over time, then might need to be repotted to a larger pot. Otherwise you can just remove the old growth and carry on with same routine knowing your plant is focusing energy into growing not maintaining old growth which is an indication that it is healthy!
