What are these white dots on my cymbidium orchid?

They’ve appeared over the last few weeks. The orchid isn’t flowering. Any ideas what it is and how I fix it?

I have something similar on my palm. It infected two of his flowers but i couldn't get any photo.

And what can I use instead of rubbing alcohol, I don't think I can find it here where I live.

Yup.  Scale. Physically remove them carefully. Wash off the plant well.  If you need to prune it, you can. Spray it with insecticidal soap if you can get it.  There might be directions online to make your own.  Keep an eye out for those little pests because they can pop back up again.  Good luck!
