Monstera Siltepecana care

I got a gift plant from a trusted plant expert: a Monstera Siltepecana! This is the biggest in size plant I have so far. It is one year and 5 days old and it's been growing at her house since it was a baby.

This is also my first monstera so I am just starting to learn how to care for this plant. Emerald is gorgeous and I am scared to mess up with it. What are some things that I need to look up? I have been pretty good at caring for my peperomias but I realize that monsteras are different. Thanks in advance.

Monsteras are beautiful large plants that are easy to maintain. They love humid atmosphere so place an air mister beside it if you can. Water every 12 days or so. Indirect sunlight is best for them. That’s a gorgeous plant! I have a monstera peru which is similar to the siltepecana.. yours grows way faster than the peru. It likes shade vs indirect bright light, needs humidity, and needs something to climb (which it looks like you have there). I would just read whatever you can find!
Beautiful!!
@SuperblyLilac I agree about Paris! She is amazing!! πŸ–€πŸ–€
Caring for the Monstera Siltepecana, is a breeze with a few key tips.
This variety, thrives in a well-balanced environment. Provide it with bright, indirect light, avoiding harsh direct sunlight that may scorch its delicate leaves. Maintain a consistently moist but not waterlogged soil, allowing the top inch to dry between watering sessions. I currently have one in a 4in pot and I’m watering it every 12 days or so.
Consider a well-draining potting mix to prevent water accumulation, as Monsteras are prone to root rot if overwatered.

Temperature-wise, the Siltepecana prefers a warm, tropical climate, ideally between 65-80Β°F (18-27Β°C). Regular fertilization during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer can support healthy growth. Prune selectively to shape the plant and remove any damaged or yellowing leaves. As for humidity I haven’t provided mine with any and it does just fine. However if you do, keep an eye on your watering. You won’t need to water as much.
@KatVinogradova thank you fir your tips! The one who gave me this plant told me that it likes humidity and she even used a fine water mister to add moisture to the surrounding air. So I am doing that because I know my house gets dry especially in the winter.
