What is the best potting soil?

#thanksgivingcactus
5” pot without drainage

Holiday cactus like a quick draining, airy mix. They're epiphytes in nature, so a heavy, slow draining mix will kill them. I like to do 1 part cactus soil, 1 part indoor mix, 1 part perlite, and 1-ish part orchid bark and mine are thriving.
@WittyPeppermint - Hello πŸ‘‹πŸΌ Crystal 😁

I HIGHLY recommend back to the roots succulent and cacti mix! It has a decent amount of sand and perlite, it’s quick draining, and it’s affordable!! That’s what I have been using and I continue to buy when I run out!
I now have 3 bigger Thanksgiving cactus and one smaller prop!
And here’s a photo the help you understand them a little better as well πŸ₯°

I was told mine were all Christmas cactus, but nope! Instead they are all Thanksgiving and I can’t find Easter or Christmas yet πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
@Charli3Plant - YOUR OASIS IS HEAVENLY! I FREAKING LOVE IT! All of them look sooo HEALTHY and they are absolutely THRIVING 🀩🀩

AHHHHHHH, maybe one day πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ
@JenniferNoel thank you! I put my Thanksgiving cactus outside for the summer and she ✨ thrived✨ Definitely recommend doing that if you can.
