Dryness

Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my Anthurium (painter's pallet) he is a rescue and even tho he is not getting actively worse, he is still in bad condition, can someone diagnose him? And what should I do with the dead bits #anthurium
Last watered 1 week ago
I actually have a lot of experience with killing this particular plant...😜 4 this year alone! The brown is lack of humidity... And the soggy brown "new growth" is definitely a watering issue! Wish I could help you save it, but I most definitely have zero luck with anthuriums even though I try...and try....annnnd try...πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯΄πŸ«©
@brandshe hahahah thanks, the information helps regardless i just wish I could figure out how to fix it
You could try a pebble tray for humidity. And a repot for a chunkier soil .... Lol though I have never had any luck with ANY advice people have given me.... So I totally feel ya! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚
Water around the rim of the pot only not the crown, That causes root rot. Also water when 2 inches deep is dry. I have one a it’s full of leaves. However the red spathe is on a slow roll right now due to low light in Fall and winter. Mine is also mixed with perlite and indoor soil. It’s thriving with new growth. ☺️
