How do I kee the cat from chewing/eating leaves?
2” pot
Last watered 6 days ago
Omg I have an incorrigible plant muncher myself! He destroyed my money plant propagate I received from a friend 😭 Cats hate the smell of citrus or herbs like rosemary. I squeeze lemons or oranges and mix the juice into my water spritzer and spray the leaves every once in a while, and put the peels on top of the soil! It *usually* does the trick. Best to check with your specific plant to make sure citrus or spraying the leaves with water doesn't harm it though! Some plants are super sensitive. Good luck!
I agree with Melissa’s suggestion about citrus! My cat also hates the smell of neem oil (don’t we all?).
The citrus thing hasn’t worked for stopping my two plant munchers. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🤬 I now grow cat grass for them and they LOVE it! They’re eating that instead of my money plant, parlor palm, and pothos. For me the grass is easy to grow, cheap, and it keeps everyone happy. Maybe try the cat grass in addition to the citrus suggestion? #CatsOfGreg #PetsAndPlants
@PNWfern that’s what i read yesterday. get them some grass. mine likes to chew on leaves but so far he hasn’t destroyed anything
