What is this plant?

Greg says it is a cylindrical snake plant. The tag says it is a Haworthia. It is from Target. #SucculentSquad #PlantID #PlantAddict #
0ft to light, direct
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
@LeadChincactus Greg was right. Target? Not so much.
This ain’t a Haworthia, Renee. What you’ve got is a Cylindrical Snake Plant tall, stiff, and standing like it’s waiting in line at the DMV with an attitude and a secret. Haworthias are the introverts of the succulent world short, rosette-y, and built like a little green cupcake. This plant?
Nah. She’s out here shaped like a group of awkward pencils who formed a band. Every leaf is like
Don’t water me. Don’t touch me. Don’t even look at me Cylindrical Snake Plants grow slow, tolerate neglect like champs, and don’t ask for much just drainage and some chill. If you water them too often? They go full drama queen and rot from the inside like a bad banana. So congrats, you’ve got a Sansevieria Cylindrica!
Low-maintenance. Slightly stabby. Absolutely fabulous.
It looks like a snake plant to me. Sometimes Greg doesn’t get it right, but this is not one of those times.
I’m not sure if it’s cylindrical or just a β€œregular” snake- I have both and have added photos of each. Kinda hard to see yours as the photo is dark, even enlarged. But you can see the difference- cylindrical are not wide flat leaves, cylindrical are a lot smaller…like a cylinder. lol. I hope that helps
This is a Hawthoria!
100% snake plant. Specifically a Fernwood/Mikado. I bought a tiny one YEARS ago, divided it, accidentally drowned some of the divisions, but still have 4 of these 2-foot-tall beauties. I think it’s my oldest plant. This one is paired with an unidentified cactus.
The Greg app is correct Cylindrical Snake Plant. Double checked it in the plantnet app.
@SillyPlantGirl never been much of a fan of the typical snake plant, but your cylindrical is absolutely stunning! 😍
@DesertGreen thank you!
