Help please!

#GiantTaro my plant was starting to yellow and I figured it needed to be repotted. I found that it was root bound so I loosened it a bit and repotted but that seems to have accelerated the yellowing.

Yellowing doesn't mean repot. It could mean other things.

Is it only the oldest leaf, and it is or recently grew a new leaf? If so it's regular leaf cycle and is normal.

The acceleration is due to stress. Alocasias don't like to be messed with. So don't be rash and immediately repot
Well I repotted after seeing that it was root bound! But the yellowing started with an older leaf but it seems to be spreading to the rest.
The newest leaf unfurled probably a couple months ago.
