Is this a peduncle on my Hoya pubicalyx?
Any tips for preventing it from blasting? This is the first one (I think) and Iβd love for it to flower this season!

@mtnchickadee Iβm not sure, but I think Iβll follow along here to see what others say. I hope it is!! π€π½
@SunnyPlants fingers crossed!!
This just looks like a growth point to me, since itβs coming directly between the leaves and you see on the end the two little leaf points. Typically the plant is a little upset if a new growth or peduncle comes in odd colored like red/yellow, they tend to fall off if youβre not careful with the care or if thereβs a mite issue.
In general to keep peduncles from blasting, make sure the plant has nutrients and donβt let it get severely dry. Some Hoyas tend to blast more than others, some will just grow peduncles but are hard to bloom.

I think it is just a growth point like @Alinaa said. But when you get a sensible you will definitely be able to tell the difference in the growth
