Do you deadhead these flowers to keep it blooming

@ChummyGabisan Yes youโ€™ll want to cut the stem back too. . Just be sure if they have new blooms coming on same stem to just cut back to that spot . Dahlias are bulbs and by cutting back they should bush out promoting more growth . Good luck and welcome to greg
@ChummyGabisan Lisa that is a beautiful Dahlia. ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜ yes snip it after blooming. Also I noticed your card info stated no drain in your flower pot. You need drainage so the roots do not stay wet and rot!!
Cut back above the node after the third set of true leaves. That will promote lateral blooming so more blooms! :)
