Blooming
#FalseChristmasCactus When does the flowers tend to start blooming? I got it when it started blooming so I donβt know.
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
You can also try placing the plant in a cool environment for 6β8 weeks before you want it to bloom, with days around 60β65Β°F and nights around 45β55Β°F.
Increase darkness.
Place the plant in a dark area for 12 hours or more a day.
Let the top two inches of soil dry thoroughly before watering during this dormant phase. When this 6 wek period is over, place plant in an area where it receives bright indirect light and water when top inch of soil is dry. Hope this makes sense and helps. God luck.

Hello @usine Actually this plant is not a cactus at all. It is a succulent though. There are three different varieties of this plant identified by the shape of the leaves each having its own bloom time thankgiving easter and christmas. @GracedStrapwort has given you great directions on how to force a bloom. I just let mine do it's thing. It is important also to know that they like to be snug in thier pot and bloom better when snug. They only need repotting when the soil starts to dry out to quickly and you have to water frequently. This is a very tolerant plant that I believe originated in brazil.
Last year I let mine do their own thing instead of forcing a bloom. My Thanksgiving cactus bloomed 3 times between Thznksgiving and labor day...I think due to the varied temperature changes we had then. They are a great plant to have.
