Thinking of proping him. Heβs missing so many of the top ...

Thinking you can probably split him in 3 or 4 if you want and still get a bush from him if you give him some more soilπ
Or just snip the top and prune the bottom shots to get a tree when he gets new shots at the top.

@MockingJay thanks hereβs the pot I put him in. After clipping it heard that I have let it scale over. How long is that an hour a day or a week.
@FitBrowallia I have just put my cuttings directly in a glass of water, or even directly in a pot of soil π
Makes it hard to discard them as everything will make a new plantπ«£ But I guess some coleus might be less hardy than others. But they get floppy fast without water, so I donβt think I would let it dry for longer than an hour
@MockingJay thank you Iβm going to wait a few more days to make sure heβs not stressed
@mockingjay did you make a coleus tree?! πππ
I've been wondering can mine get that tall or is it based on species?

@FitBrowallia I wish I could send you my coleus little plant babies. I'm not sure what to do with them!!
@LoveLeeLife I wish you could also yours are pretty
@LoveLeeLife I would advise you to just try with a cuttingπ I would think you can make one from any coleus.
It will grow taller when you make it a tree than a bush, as it sort of shifts the center of the bush if you know what I meanπ. But I guess the hight will vary a little as the size of the coleus-bushes also varies depending on type.
It was so much more fun than making a bush!
Just make sure to keep one stem and pinch the offshots until you reach the desired hight of the stem.
I also pinched the leaves along the way and ended up with HUGE leaves for a while before I let it branch out fullyπ
It needs heavy trimming sometimes and looks quite sad after, but it grows back quickly and more beautiful ππ³
