Just noticed brown spots on the stem - is it root rot?

If you mean the larger spots, they kind of look like scabs. Places where leaves have peeled or are peeling away.

@skeleton here’s a close up:) I recently got into beheading and propagating succulents, so my first intention was to chop this guy… looking at it once more, it doesn’t look that bad, so you are probably right.

I almost exclusively used to grow succulents and they like to lose their leaves at the bottom as they stretch towards the sun, otherwise they're dang easy to knock off, but that's what makes them great at propagation on their own. Have fun making more babies for your collection!
