Burnt or pests? Can anyone tell me what might be wrong w...

#FiddleLeafFig
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
I think it is burned leave. Because my fiddle fig has the leaves, it looked like it when I moved the plant, which was in my room in the winter, to my patio with sunshine in the spring.
I am not so sure, but hope that will help
Maybe a watering issue? I’m new to fiddles, curious what you figure out!
It’s edema. It’s normal to have a some red dots but that much is a sign of overwatering.
Looks like over watering in my opinion. Number one way to kill a fiddle leaf plant is over watering. You should only water every 7-10 days. Use a bamboo to check for dryness. If you stick the bamboo stick again and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes and come back when you pull out the bamboo stick and nothing is on it then you need to water. If there's any soil stuck to the bamboo stick then you don't water.
Those are edemas they’re a sign of overwatering :) water pockets bursting in the leaves create the tiny dots
@danisgreenhouse came to say the same thing. My fiddle leaf fig gets this sometimes and it’s not too much to stress about. Be mindful of your watering schedule and how much you water and it’ll bounce back without any trouble.
Thank you everyone! I was out of town and my daughter helped water plants. Maybe I overdid it when I got back :) will the red dots go away over time or are they there forever?
They go away after some time.
On another post here, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. She shared her paper on FLF and after reading it about β€œthrips” insect that live in the leaves of FLF I inspected my plant. And sure enough I can see the little mites crawling around on the leaves.she recommended a solution to wipe on leaves.
@ChosenBluerose5 I found her! Thank you @SuperblyLilac for sharing your information with us. Tagging you here for credit.
