Does anyone know why my Yucca does this?

Ever since I got my yucca these marks appear in new leaves that open up. There are not there until a certain point of unraveling.

What causes this?

Can I prevent this?
Ooh, that pattern is unusual!! 😯 Generally speaking Yukkas worst enemies are powdery mildew (but that presents, as you'd expect, as a powdery white substance on the leaves) and Mealy bugs... But this, to me anyway, looks a bit like thrip damage.

I'm not sure why the rings though, my first thought was a knock of some kind (when you accidentally catch a branch or leaf and it causes damage, like a scar).

Thrips certainly go for the newest leaves, which chimes with what you've said, and cause these "thin" patches from the back of the leaf to the front (the back will look more white/ silvery and you may see little black dots around those patches). But I've never seen such uniform damage being caused by pests! 🤔

For comparison, mine had a battle with thrips over the summer and they caused some leaf damage, if you can see in the pictures) but as you'll see it's quite random. Neem oil is the best way I've found to kill thrips (if that's what it is!).

Let me tag you up to call in the troops! Lol hopefully if we can get more eyes on your post there WILL be a Greggers with an answer for you!

Thank you! I don't see any pests. This has happened since I've had her.
