Watering when moisture meter says wet

Hi! The app is suggesting I give water to my plant. However, the moisture meter says the pot is wet at the bottom, but moist/dry at the top. Should I calibrate the app’s recommendation with a moisture meter or just give the recommended amount?
1ft to light, direct
19” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
I also wonder if the height of the pot should be a consideration and not just the width.
@MidniteSingh I would collaborate the app better by hitting β€œsnooze” so that it learns when your plant needs water. I hit snooze all the time if my plants still are wet and it has better learned when they need water, since its basically making an educated guess. Since the roots are do wish it also considered height, that would be super helpful, you can always suggest it by emailing Greg or tagging them!
@Kodaksplants thanks! So the app will retrain its recommendations based on that snooze button? It’s tricky because I am not an expert and don’t know when high moisture at the bottom of a large pot is fine or expected and I should still water. That’s what I would expect the app to tell me..
@MidniteSingh yes it will retrain based on the snooze button. High moisture at the bottom is not great, as the roots don’t like to sit in pooled water, but with drainage you wouldn’t expect it to be pooling. Have you checked deeper down to make sure the moisture meter is accurate?
