Hi everyone! My beautiful Agalonema here is about one mo...

#Aglaonema I bought her from a plant shop where she was mamma to many other smaller plants and was well loved. Since being in my house, she dropped one yellow leaf, and her other leaves are curling. Before I really knew what I was doing, I think I may have overwatered herโ€ฆso Iโ€™ve cut back on watering her. Sheโ€™s about a foot away from a southwest facing window with indirect light. Iโ€™m leaving tomorrow on a 10 day trip - my question is: should I water her before leaving or send someone in to water her? Any other advice?
1ft to light, indirect
6โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 day ago
I just bought an Aglaonema from the Greg shop and according to the app it says it should be watered every 1-2 weeks and placed less than 6 feet away from window I think youโ€™ll be ok if you water before you go ๐Ÿ‘
I have found out that this plant, in particular, does not like a lot of light.

I had it in with my other aglonemas ๏ฟผ๏ฟผand it looked tough. I moved about 4 feet away from an east facing window and it has really started to look better.

My recommendation would be to lightly water it and put it in a darker room while youโ€™re gone. Being in a darker room will help the plant not use as much energy therefore it wonโ€™t need as much water therefore it wonโ€™t suffer more while youโ€™re gone.

Itโ€™s like putting a sourdough starter in the refrigerator. ๐Ÿ˜†๏ฟผ
They are also huge fans of humidity. Having more humidity may help the leaves to straighten out and not curl.
Does your pot really have no drainage hole? Thatโ€™ll stress the plant too if itโ€™s stating wet too long.
@sarahsalith yes - it has no drainage! This was how I got it from the plant store / boutique! I was thinking that I should repot it when I get back from my trip to an inner pot that has some drainage.
